Take the core clinical history: open question, onset and duration, site/character/radiation, sweating/nausea/dyspnea, syncope, risk factors.
Screen red flags: pressure-like chest pain, radiation to arm or jaw, sweating/nausea, shortness of breath, pain lasting more than 20 minutes.
Repair medical jargon with patient-friendly explanations and check understanding.
Explain first tests in plain English: vital signs, 12-lead ECG, serial troponins, basic blood tests.
Summarize, invite correction, and give specific safety-netting language.
